Sign in, sign out and sessions
You can sign in with a password, an emailed code, Google or a passkey. A person only gets in if an administrator added them to a workspace.
Ways to sign in
Section titled “Ways to sign in”On the sign-in page:
- Email address and Password, then Sign in.
- Sign in with an emailed code instead. Click Email me a sign-in code, then enter the six-digit code under Code from the email and click Sign in with the code.
- Continue with Google, when your Keelvy offers it.
- Sign in with a passkey. See Add a passkey.
If a security check appears above the button, complete it first. It stops automated sign-in attempts, and it appears only where Keelvy has one switched on.
If you see “You are signed in, but not a member of any workspace”, ask an administrator to invite your email address in Settings → Users. The invitation is what makes the account a member.
When a code from your authenticator app is asked
Section titled “When a code from your authenticator app is asked”If you use an authenticator app, the switch Ask for a code at every sign-in decides whether signing in asks for its 6-digit code. When it is on, the code is asked after you sign in with a password, an emailed code or Google. A passkey sign-in does not ask, because a passkey is already two factors. See Set up two-step sign-in.
An administrator can require two-step sign-in for you in a workspace. Entering it then needs a sign-in that passed the second factor, or a passkey sign-in. See Require two-step sign-in for a person.
The platform console and changes to your account’s security ask for the code whatever the switch says.
Forgot your password
Section titled “Forgot your password”- Click Forgot your password?
- Click Email a code to set a password and enter the code. A code works once and expires.
- Type the new password twice and click Save password.
You stay signed in on that device, and your other devices are signed out. Change the password later in Sign-in and security. See Change your name, email or password.
Sessions
Section titled “Sessions”You stay signed in while you keep using Keelvy. A session renews as you use it and ends after about a week of not using it. To end one yourself, click your avatar and choose Log out. Keelvy has no screen that lists your signed-in devices.
Sensitive changes need a recent sign-in. Changing your email, adding a passkey or removing one without using it asks you to Confirm it’s you if your last sign-in was more than 10 minutes ago. The dialog opens on the same page, so you do not lose what you typed.
Stop someone’s access
Section titled “Stop someone’s access”An administrator can Deactivate a person in Settings → Users. The next permission check stops granting them the workspace. See Change or remove someone’s access.
Can’t sign in at all
Section titled “Can’t sign in at all”Click Can’t sign in? Contact support on the sign-in page. It opens a form that works without an account.
