Sell in more than one currency
Every amount in Keelvy names its currency. You turn on the currencies you use, choose one as the base for conversion and reporting, and Keelvy keeps the rates between them current.
Choose your currencies
Section titled “Choose your currencies”- Open Settings → Currency.
- In Enabled currencies, add each currency with + add. These are the currencies the workspace can quote in.
- Choose the Base currency. It is the anchor for conversion, the default for new price lists, and the currency reports and dashboards summarize in.
Changing the base currency asks for confirmation. Existing rates and rules keep their original source currencies, so nothing is converted automatically. New price lists default to the new base, and reports switch at once.
Only an administrator can change this list.
Choose where rates come from
Section titled “Choose where rates come from”Under Active exchange-rate sources, pick a Main source and an optional Backup source. Keelvy tries the main one first, then the backup. At least one automatic source must stay active.
The list includes ECB (European Central Bank), Frankfurter, Open ER-API (no key needed), ExchangeRate-API (add its key in Settings → Integrations first) and Manual rates. In Ukraine: NBU (National Bank of Ukraine), PrivatBank and Monobank are also offered.
Keelvy fetches rates every hour, and again when you open the page or click Fetch now. A source that stops answering is marked Not updating or Fetch failed, and a stale rate is never applied as if it were fresh.
Check coverage
Section titled “Check coverage”The Coverage table lists each enabled currency against the base. A pair shows Covered when a source quotes it. Uncovered means no source quotes that currency and no manual rate is set, so nothing can price it: add a source or switch the pair to Manual.
Rates between two currencies that are not the base, such as EUR to GBP when USD is the base, are not quoted by any source. Keelvy derives them through the base currency. They are listed under System cross rates and can be added with Add cross pair.
Use a different rate for a brand or a channel
Section titled “Use a different rate for a brand or a channel”The general rate for a pair applies to everything that has no rule of its own. A brand, a category, a product group, a product or a channel can have its own rate for the pair, and price lists, price recalculations and the cost of foreign-currency purchases use it. See Use a different exchange rate per brand or channel.
Put prices in the new currency
Section titled “Put prices in the new currency”Create a derived price list in the new currency with the list you already have as its parent. See Make a wholesale list from your retail list.
