Automate photo work
Photo rules do the routine work when something happens to a photo: it is uploaded, moved to a folder, marked online or approved, or its usage rights are about to end.
Start from an example
Section titled “Start from an example”Open Overview → Skipper → Scenarios and find Photo rules. Five starters are ready:
- Alt text on upload writes alt text in your languages for every uploaded photo.
- Check before publishing checks a photo against every channel’s photo rules when it goes online.
- Rights ending warning tells you when a photo’s usage rights end within 14 days.
- Approved photos to a channel sends an approved photo through a channel’s own push.
- Brand polish proposal proposes a brand-style edit for each photo uploaded to a folder.
Click one, adjust it, and click Save rule.
Build your own
Section titled “Build your own”- Click New photo rule.
- Choose the trigger (Uploaded, Moved, Marked online, Approved or Rights ending). Choose a Folder to watch only that folder, with Include subfolders if you want those too.
- Choose the action: Suggest tags, Write alt text, Check channels, Propose an AI edit, Send to channel or Notify someone.
- If the action uses AI, set Credits per run and Credits per day. The rule stops, and says so, at either limit.
Or describe it in a sentence under Or describe it, for example “When a photo is approved, send it to my shop”, and click Build with the assistant. Skipper drafts the rule and shows it to you. Nothing is saved until you accept it.
What the actions leave for you
Section titled “What the actions leave for you”- Tags wait on the photo for you to accept them.
- An AI edit is only proposed. Nothing is applied until you accept it.
- Send to channel holds back a photo whose rights don’t allow that channel or its markets.
- Notify someone follows the person’s own notification choices.
A bulk upload runs in batches, and the run history lists each photo with what was done.
