Choose what is listed where

Every channel has a rule for what it includes by default. A product’s Channels tab shows the result and lets you make exceptions.

  1. Open Sales → Channels and open the channel.
  2. Under Product scope, choose the Inclusion rule: All active products, By brand, By category, By collection or Manual.
  3. Save.
  1. Open the product and go to the Channels tab.
  2. Each row is a variant on a channel. Listing says why: Listed by channel rule, Listed manually, Unlisted by channel rule or Unlisted manually.
  3. Use Add channel to publish the product to more channels. Under Which variants, choose Whole product or Pick variants.
  4. Use Remove from channel to archive the listing. The product stays live on other channels, and you can re-add it later.
  5. Use Use channel rule on a manual listing to hand the decision back to the channel.

Channels for the whole listing adds or removes a channel for every variant at once.

The Channel price column shows the price this channel sends, from its price list. Type an Override to give one listing its own amount, and Clear override to go back. If the cell says the channel has no price list, attach one on the channel. If it says the variant has no price, set one on Variants & prices.

Under Variant rules on the channel, add a rule such as Include only when color is a set of values. It applies to every family with that axis. Preview shows how many variants it includes and excludes, then Apply. Listings wait for the next push.

On a product, an exception shows as Excluded by the channel rule or Included by this family’s exception to the channel rule. Choose Allow for this family, Include this variant or Use the channel rule.

On a family, Listing shape decides how a channel shows it:

  • One listing: the included variants become its options.
  • Separate listings: each variant is its own listing, titled with the model name and its options.
  • By axis: one listing per value of the axis you choose, and the other axes become options.

Switching shape keeps the old listings. The channel’s removals list them, and nothing is deleted without your tick.

Each listing reads Ready when every language the channel exports has a translation and a price resolves, or Incomplete with the reasons. A missing translation in the channel’s main language means the listing publishes with its product ID instead of a name. A photo that may not meet the channel’s image requirements is a warning only.

Manual, Pending, Syncing, Live, Error or Unpublished. Live here on your own storefront means it reads the catalog directly, so there is nothing to sync.
