Link related products

Links connect a product to the ones it goes with. Shops and the storefront show them, so a buyer of a candle sees the matching wick trimmer.

  1. Open the product and go to Links.
  2. Under a type, click Add:
    • Goes with: bought together. Shown on both products.
    • Accessories: add-ons for this product. The accessory shows this product under Works with.
    • A step up: a better or bigger version to offer instead. The other product shows A step down from.
    • Alternatives: similar products to consider. Shown on both products.
  3. Tick the products and click Add … links.

A product cannot link to itself. To remove one, use the remove action on the linked product’s row.

On a family, links set on the model show on each variant as From the model. A link set on the other product shows as Set on that product, and you edit it there.

For a connected shop, open the channel’s settings in Sales → Channels. Under Product links on this shop, choose for each link type which of the shop’s lists it fills: Complementary, Related, or Not sent. Click Save. The next catalog push writes the links.

A channel whose connector does not take product links shows Not sent to that channel on the Links tab, and a product that is not on a channel shows Not on it.

If your workspace requires approval for the change, the link is sent for approval and appears when it is approved.
