Check incoming deliveries
Wood is checked for moisture because it is wood, whoever sold it. You decide once, on the material, and receiving does the rest: a check appears on the delivery without anyone remembering to open one.
Turn checks on
Section titled “Turn checks on”- For a material: open it in Warehouse → Materials and switch on Incoming check. Every delivery of this material opens a quality check.
- For a supplier: open the supplier and set Incoming checks.
- Follow the material is the default: the supplier has no opinion.
- Check every delivery: everything from this supplier is checked, whatever the material says.
- Check nothing: this supplier’s deliveries are never checked, even for a material that asks for it. Use it for a supplier whose own certificate is enough.
The supplier’s setting wins in both directions. A bought-in product has no setting of its own, so it is checked only when its supplier is set to Check every delivery.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”When you receive the goods, each checked line opens an Incoming inspection in Production → Quality control. The check covers the units that actually entered stock: units you marked as defective at the door are already owed back to the supplier and are not sampled again.
A check never blocks a receipt. The goods are in stock and the order is received whether or not the check could be opened. Record the result on the check. See Check quality.
The Quality control module has to be on for the workspace.
