What AI credits pay for

AI work in Keelvy is paid for in credits. Your plan includes an allowance each month, and you can buy more. Every action has a published price, and you see it before the action runs.

  • Skipper’s answers. Each step of an answer uses credits. The price depends on how much Skipper has to read, so it shows as “about”.
  • Product text. Writing a description or an SEO text, translating a product into one language, drafting copy in Skipper, and drafting a brand profile.
  • Product details. Filling in one product’s attributes.
  • Photo work. Alt text, tags, a focal point, a product suggested for a new photo, sorting a photo, and AI edits such as removing a background or placing a product in a scene.
  • Product videos.
  • Reading files. Describing an attached file, and reading a partner’s sales or stock report.

Settings → Billing → What each AI operation costs lists the operations and what each costs.

Switches that run AI on every new photo (tags, focal point, product match, sorting) are under Settings → Media presets → AI assistance for new photos. They’re off until you turn them on, and each new photo then uses credits.

  • Reading your data in the screens.
  • The quick looks in Telegram and Slack: /stock, /order, /today, /approvals, /queue.
  • Rebuilding a photo on Keelvy’s own engine (Rebuild on Keelvy’s engine).

Credits are taken when an action delivers a result. If it fails, times out or returns something unusable, nothing is charged, and the screen says so (“Nothing was charged”). A result you don’t like is still a result: asking for another one is a new action and is charged again.

An action that is refused because you have no credits left, or because you lack permission, isn’t charged either.

On the button or in the dialog before you start: Uses {price} on an AI photo edit, and Costs {price}, taken when the video is delivered on a product video. A photo rule that uses AI has its own limit of credits per run and per day, so it can’t spend more than you set. See Automate photo work.
