Photo styles and LUTs
A LUT is a color grade saved as a file. A look is a named style for your pictures: the adjustments you made, optionally a LUT, and optionally a sentence the AI can follow. Both are kept once and used everywhere.
Add a LUT
Section titled “Add a LUT”- Open Settings → Media presets.
- In the LUT library, click Add LUT.
- Type a Name, choose a Brand or Any brand, and pick a
.cubefile. One-dimensional and three-dimensional files work, and the grade is applied in sRGB. - Click add. Preview on shows the LUT on a photo from your library.
A file that is not a usable .cube is refused, and the message names the line to fix. Replace file makes a new version; the old version stays, so photos already made from it are not touched. Archive hides a LUT, and it can be restored. A LUT that a preset or a look uses cannot be archived. The message names which ones to change first.
Save a look
Section titled “Save a look”- Open a photo and click Edit in Studio.
- Adjust the photo with Adjust (white balance, light, color, texture), pick a filter from your LUT library under Filters, and set its Strength. Nothing changes the photo until you save.
- Under Filters → Looks, type a Look name and click Save look.
You can also add a look directly in Settings → Media presets: click Add look, set a Name, a Brand, an optional LUT, and an optional Sentence for the AI of 3 to 300 characters, for example “Warm window light, soft shadows, a plain linen surface”. Export .cube gives the look’s grade as a file.
Studio edits are saved as New photo or New version, and the original is never overwritten. See Undo an edit and restore a version.
Use them
Section titled “Use them”- In the Studio: choose a look in Your looks, or apply a LUT as a filter.
- In a delivery preset: add the Apply LUT step with a Strength, or Add a look…. Every photo that preset produces gets the grade.
- In an AI photo edit: choose a Photo style. A style adds your brand’s look to what you ask for, and one that names a LUT also grades the result.
A look is never used on a clean-up, and it never changes a photo on its own. Only the edit you ask for uses it.
