Group products in collections

A collection groups products the way you work: “Autumn gifts”, “Wholesale favorites”. Collections do not change a product’s category, its SKU rule or its logistics defaults.

  1. Open Catalog → Collections.
  2. Click New collection.
  3. Type a Name. Pick a Parent collection to nest it; collections go two levels deep.
  4. Click Create collection.

To add products, open the collection and click Add products, tick the ones you want, and confirm. You can also select products in Catalog → Products and use Add to… in the action bar, or open a product’s More actions → Add to collection. In a collection, drag rows to change the order, or sort by Name A–Z or Price high–low.

Removing a product from a collection takes it out of the group only. The product stays.

A smart collection fills itself by a rule. Its members cannot be added or removed by hand.

  1. Open the collection and click Collection settings.
  2. Under Type, choose Smart.
  3. In the rule builder, choose All or Any of the following conditions, then Add condition. A condition can use Stock, Location, Brand, Category, Status, Price, Tag, Attribute or Published date, with operators such as is, is one of, contains, between, or in the last N days.
  4. Click save.

Only live products can match. A product you archive leaves the collection by itself.

If the collection is empty, the screen says why: the rule filters on an attribute that no longer exists, no live product carries a value for it yet, the conditions exclude each other (switch to Any), or no live product matches right now.

In the rule builder, switch on Keep only the bestsellers. Choose what to Rank by, Units sold or Net revenue, the period in days, how many to keep, which channels to count (All channels or Chosen channels), and whether to rank Each product or the Whole family. Click Preview to see the ranking before saving.

Sales are counted net of returns and cancellations. The collection refreshes on its own, and Refresh now does it at once. Revenue figures show only to people who can see sales.

  1. Open Collection settings.
  2. Switch on Show in storefront.
  3. Under Storefront card, choose a Cover and write a Description.
