Plan what to reorder and when
The materials list tells you what you have. Warehouse → Replenishment plan tells you what you will not have, and by when to act.
Read the plan
Section titled “Read the plan”The plan walks forward day by day from today. For each material it starts from what is on the shelf, adds what is still coming on open purchase orders, and takes away what unfinished production orders will draw.
Choose the Horizon. For each material the table shows:
- On hand and Minimum.
- Minimum breached: the day stock falls below the minimum.
- Runs out: the day it reaches zero.
- Lead time: how many days a supplier needs, with the supplier’s name.
- Order by: the last day to order so the material arrives in time. An order date already past reads Overdue.
- Order qty: the quantity to order.
By default only materials that need a decision are listed. Use Show every material to see them all, and Show only what needs a decision to go back.
What the notes mean
Section titled “What the notes mean”A note beside a material says why its answer is less certain:
- No lead time: no supplier row for this material records a lead time, so there is no order-by date. Add one on the supplier’s price row. See Record what a supplier sells and at what price.
- No minimum: the material keeps no buffer, so only the day it runs out is reported.
- Unit not converted: an inbound purchase line is in a unit that cannot be converted to the material’s own, so its quantity is counted as written.
What it counts and what it does not
Section titled “What it counts and what it does not”Demand comes from production orders, not from sales orders. A confirmed sales order with no production order behind it produces no material demand here, because turning an order into a plan means choosing batch sizes, which site, and whether to make or buy. The chain is: confirm the order, plan the production, then read this screen.
The plan reads specifications, so you need permission to see them.
Act on it
Section titled “Act on it”Select materials in Warehouse → Materials and choose Create purchase order, or let a scenario draft the orders. See Order what is running low.
