Style your documents
Your documents can look like your brand. A template sets the columns, wording, page size and style of each kind of document. See Set up a template for each kind of document. On this page: the company details that print on every document, and your own stylesheet. A stylesheet changes how a document looks, never what it says: the fields, the wording and the figures stay as Keelvy writes them, so a stylesheet cannot make an invoice wrong.
Add a logo, bank details and a signatory
Section titled “Add a logo, bank details and a signatory”These come from the company that issues the document.
- Open Settings → Legal entities and open the company.
- Under Logo, click Upload image. It prints at the head of every document the company issues. Use SVG, PNG, WebP or JPEG under 5 MB, at least 64×64 px, and between square and four times wider than tall. Uploading needs a storage connection in Settings → Integrations.
- Under Bank accounts, add each account (bank name, IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, or for US wires the account number and routing number/ABA). Mark one account as primary for each currency. Invoices print the account for their currency.
- Under Signatories, add the people who may sign, with their title, the document kinds they sign (invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, other documents, certificates) and the dates they are active. You can attach a signature image and a stamp to each.
Apply your own stylesheet
Section titled “Apply your own stylesheet”- Open Documents → Documents, then More → Document styling. You need permission to manage settings.
- Write your CSS in Stylesheet. It saves as you type, and the editor tells you when it has saved or refused it.
- Make sure Apply this stylesheet is on.
Your CSS is applied last, so it overrides the standard design. To change everything at once, redefine a design token on :root. The editor lists the ones worth changing: the fonts (--sans, --mono, --display), the inks (--ink, --ink-2, --ink-3), --ivory, --paper-3, --hairline and --accent. To style one kind of document, target it with [data-document-type].
For example, :root { --accent: rgb(27 58 47); } changes the accent color on every document.
Keelvy refuses a stylesheet that:
- uses
@import, - points
url()at a web address (only an inlinedata:value is allowed), - contains markup (
<characters), or - is longer than 64 KB.
Turn Apply this stylesheet off to print the standard design without erasing what you wrote.
Document styling is not on every plan. On a plan without it, what you wrote stays saved, and documents print in the standard design. Check Settings → Plan and usage.
