Archive a product and bring it back

Removing something on a main screen archives it. It is not gone: it moves to the Archive, with a record of who did it, and you can bring it back.

  • One product: open it and click More actions → Archive, then confirm. Or set its status to Archived.
  • Several products: select them in Catalog → Products and click Archive selected.
  • One variant: use Archive variant in its row on Variants & prices. The family’s other variants stay live.
  • A collection: use Archive collection.

Right after archiving a product you see Undo.

Archiving the last live variant of a family asks what you mean. See Draft, live and archived: a product’s status.

Archived products are hidden from the list. Switch on Archived products in the view options to see them.

  1. Open Archive (an administrator screen in the sidebar).
  2. Find the entry. Search by name or code, or filter by Entity type, such as Product or Collection.
  3. Click Restore.

If the code of an archived entry is now used by a live one, Keelvy says which, and you change that one first. If its parent is archived, restore the parent first.

Only the Archive can delete permanently, and only an administrator. Click Hard delete on the entry. It proceeds only when nothing refers to it. If something does, Keelvy lists what holds it, for example orders, price lists or channel listings. Resolve those first.
