What happens when your free trial ends

When the free days end, the subscription becomes a paying one and the first payment is taken from the card you saved. The plan, the workspace and your data stay as they are.

Open Settings → Billing. Under Current plan, the status reads Trial and the line Next charge gives the date. Only an Administrator or General manager can open this screen.

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Under Cancel the subscription, click Cancel the subscription, then Yes, stop renewing.

The next charge does not happen. See Cancel your subscription for what stays live and until when.

If you pay in hryvnia, the first payment was blocked on your card when the trial started. Keelvy emailed you the amount and the date it will be taken. Settings → Billing repeats it: the amount is blocked, not charged, and is taken on the date shown unless you cancel before. Canceling ends the trial and removes the block at once. When the money shows as available again depends on your bank.

The workspace is suspended. Everyone who opens it sees Payment required: the first payment after the trial did not go through. The page says your data is intact, and it leaves two things open:

  • Update card. With card payments it opens the payment provider’s page (Paddle), where you replace the card. In hryvnia, a payment is owed, so it reads Pay now and opens a payment with a new card, which also becomes the card for renewals.
  • Export data, which opens Settings → Export and cleanup.

Only an Administrator or General manager can pay. Everyone else is told to ask one. The page lifts as soon as the payment is confirmed. Settings → Billing offers the same card update. See When a payment fails.
