Connect a WooCommerce shop

WooCommerce runs on your own WordPress site, so there is nothing to approve. You create a key in WooCommerce and give Keelvy the shop’s address and that key.

  1. In WordPress, open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API.
  2. Create a key with Read/Write permission.
  3. Copy the consumer key and the consumer secret. WooCommerce shows the secret once.
  1. Open Sales → Channels and click Add channel.
  2. Choose type Site and click Connect a shop, then choose WooCommerce.
  3. Enter the Shop address: the https:// address with no path, such as https://shop.example.com. Plain http:// is refused.
  4. Enter the Consumer key and Consumer secret. Both are stored encrypted.
  5. Save and run the connection test.

Run Run Preflight on the channel. It names the cause:

  • The shop’s WooCommerce API did not answer: check the address and that WooCommerce is active.
  • The shop uses plain http://: switch it to HTTPS.
  • The shop refused the key: create a new one.
  • The key can read but not write: create a new key with Read/Write permission.
  • The shop’s permalinks are set to Plain, which turns its API off: choose another permalink structure.
  • The host removes the Authorization header the key travels in: ask the host to pass it through.
  • The shop sells in another currency than the channel’s price list.

Keelvy sends catalog, prices and stock, and sends the shipment back to the order. A family becomes a variable product, with one variation per included variant. It reads the shop’s orders on a schedule, every few minutes, and reads the shop’s own products when you compare the shop.
