Set work schedules
A work schedule is the hours a person is planned to work in a normal week. It is not a timesheet and it does not affect pay. It is what the production plan measures its labor demand against: without it, the person supplies no planned hours to the plan.
Add a schedule
Section titled “Add a schedule”- Open the person in Finance & team → Employees.
- Find Work schedule and click Add period.
- Enter From, and Until if the schedule ends. Leave Until empty while this is the current schedule.
- Enter the hours for each weekday. Leave a day blank when nobody is rostered for it.
- Add a Note and click Save.
Periods may not overlap: end the current one before a new one begins. Each period lists its weekly hours and how many go To production.
Say how much goes to production
Section titled “Say how much goes to production”On the card, Production share under How this person is paid says how much of the person’s time is production work. 100 means always, 0 never, half the week on production is 50. That share is what counts as available labor in the production plan, and the wage for that share is costed through operations rather than spread as overhead.
Where else hours are stated
Section titled “Where else hours are stated”The shop’s and each machine’s hours are set in Settings → Production calendar. See Set shop hours, closures and changeovers. Staff are not entered there: their hours come from these schedules.
The grid on a timesheet links to a person’s work schedule, so you can edit the working hours from there.
