Approve or reject Skipper's changes
Skipper never changes your data while it talks. When it wants to change something, the change appears as a proposal, and nothing is written until you approve it.
Review a proposal
Section titled “Review a proposal”Proposals appear beside the conversation on the full page, or under Proposals on a narrow screen. In the small Skipper window, a chip reading “1 proposal — review” opens them, with Back to the conversation to return. Each card says what it applies to (a product, a purchase order, a price list) and shows the values it sets. When the change replaces something, the old value is shown next to the new one under was, so you see before and after. A photo or video proposal shows candidates; pick one, then approve.
- Read the card.
- Click Approve to apply it, or Reject to drop it.
- To change it first, reply in the chat: “make it shorter”, “use the wholesale list”. Skipper revises the same proposal, marked Revised after your message.
Approve all on a turn applies every proposal from that turn still waiting. Each one applies on its own, and each shows its own result.
What approving does
Section titled “What approving does”Approving runs the change as you, with your current permissions. It’s the same as doing it in the screen.
- If your role can’t do it, the card says which permission is missing and nothing changes.
- If an approval policy covers this kind of change and you can’t approve it on your own, the card reads Sent for review. The change then waits in the approvals queue for a reviewer. See Keep Skipper from changing prices without approval.
When a proposal can’t be applied
Section titled “When a proposal can’t be applied”- This proposal changed after you looked at it. Nothing was applied. Check the new version and approve again.
- A value this change replaces was edited. Someone changed the record after Skipper drafted it. The was values now show what is there; approve again if the change is still right.
- Expired. An undecided proposal expires after a week.
- Interrupted. The change was approved but its result was never recorded. Open the record to check before asking again.
The content of a decided proposal is removed after 30 days, and the card says so.
