Set a focal point and crop a photo
A square for Instagram, a tall story, a wide banner: the same photo gets cut many ways. A focal point tells Keelvy which part of the photo must stay in frame, once, and every crop for every channel respects it.
Set the focal point
Section titled “Set the focal point”- Open a photo in Media.
- In the drawer, find Focal point and drag the marker onto the product. The readout shows the position.
- Click reset to remove your point. Without one, the engine picks the most interesting part.
Let AI find it
Section titled “Let AI find it”Click Find the focal point. The AI finds where the product sits and shows a green Suggested marker. Drag it to adjust, check the crops with With suggested or With current, then click Use this point or Dismiss. A point you placed yourself is never changed until you accept.
To do it for many photos, select them and click Find focal points. You review every finding. To have it done for every new upload, switch on Find the focal point of new photos in Settings → Media presets. AI actions use your AI credits; the price is shown before you start.
Turn, mirror or crop the photo itself
Section titled “Turn, mirror or crop the photo itself”- Open the photo and find Orientation and crop.
- Use Turn left, Turn right, Mirror horizontally or Flip vertically.
- For a crop, click Crop, choose a frame shape (Free, Original, or one of the ratios your presets cut to), drag the frame or its handles, and click Apply crop. Arrow keys move the frame, and Shift with arrows resizes it.
The change lives on the photo itself and shows everywhere it is shown or read. Undo steps back, and Reset to original brings the original back. Download original gives the untouched file; downloading the photo gives it as corrected. You can also select several photos and use Rotate left, Rotate right or Mirror in the action bar. Not every file can be turned, and those are skipped and counted.
A crop made this way is a fix to the photo. What each channel cuts to comes from delivery presets. See Delivery presets and per-channel crops.
