Set up your own storefront
Your own storefront is a shop driven by your catalog and price lists, for wholesale buyers or the public. It reads your catalog directly, so there is nothing to sync.
Open a storefront
Section titled “Open a storefront”- Open Sales → Channels and click Add channel.
- Choose type Storefront.
- Enter the Channel name and the Storefront address: the public path segment. The storefront opens at
/store/<address>, such aswholesale, in lowercase. - Choose the Price lists. The primary one is the main price. Other connected lists show as secondary prices.
- Under Product scope, choose which products it includes. See Choose what is listed where.
- Save, then use Open live channel.
A workspace can have several storefronts, for example a public retail one and a gated wholesale one. A storefront’s type cannot be changed later.
A collection shows on a storefront only when Show in storefront is on for it.
How many products it shows
Section titled “How many products it shows”A storefront lists up to 10,000 products, whatever your plan allows elsewhere. From 80% of that, the channel settings warn you, and at the limit say plainly that products past it are not shown in the catalog or in search.
Take orders, or only show a catalog
Section titled “Take orders, or only show a catalog”Under Cart and checkout, Take orders off makes the storefront a catalog: products and prices, no basket and no orders. On, a buyer adds products to a cart and sends the order. Without online payment, the checkout reads Request order: you confirm details and pricing, and no payment is taken then. See Take online payments on your storefront.
Minimum order value, sale units and packs from the channel settings apply at the cart.
Give it a look
Section titled “Give it a look”Each of these is a section of the storefront channel’s settings:
- Storefront logo: PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, a roughly square image of at least 64 by 64 pixels. Without one, the workspace name is shown.
- Photos and layout: pick Catalog grid, Showcase or List, the shape of card and product photos, and the number of columns. Photos are cropped around their focal point. A category can use its own layout.
- Home page: a short list of blocks. Add a Hero, Collection cards, Product row, Gallery or Text block with Add a block, and drag to reorder. Texts are written per storefront language. With no blocks, the home shows a row of products for each collection. A collection page can have its own blocks.
- Design: the accent, fonts, corners and an Announcement bar, applied to every page.
- Product parameters: whether the product page shows dimensions, weight and attributes. Published attributes chooses which attributes reach the storefront.
- Variant options: show a variant option as Name only, Swatch only or Swatch and name.
- Price captions: what each price is called to a shopper, such as MSRP or WSP.
- Product link blocks: which kinds of product links show on a product page, and under what heading.
- Cookie notice: with analytics or advertising on, the storefront always asks visitors about cookies.
