Choose who can see your storefront and its prices

A storefront can be public, gated as a whole, or public with some prices hidden. You set it per storefront.

  1. Open Sales → Channels and open the storefront.
  2. Under Storefront access, choose Access. Changes save instantly.
Access Who gets in
Open — public store, per-list gates apply Anyone. The store is public and indexable.
Password — gates the whole store Anyone with the password. A visitor who is in sees everything, prices included.
Secret link — gates the whole store Anyone with the link. To everyone else the store is invisible.
Sign-in — registered customers only A contact of a customer with a price list on this storefront, signing in with their email.

For Password, enter it under Password and click Set password. It is stored hashed. Leave it blank to keep the current one.

For Secret link, click Generate link, then Copy. Regenerate link invalidates the old one.

With Sign-in, a visitor who is not on your customer list reads that the store is open to registered customers only, and to contact you if they think it should be.

On an Open store, each price list can be gated on its own under Price visibility. Set Gate to Password and give the list its own password.

A gated list shows Price on request with a prompt to enter the list’s password, never an empty space. A buyer enters the password under Unlock prices. Too many wrong attempts lock the form for a few minutes.

A list with the gate on Password but no password set shows Price on request with no way in. Set one.

Per-list gates do not apply while the whole store is gated: a visitor who is in sees every price.

While a price is hidden, the product cannot be ordered: the page reads “Ordering is available once prices are shown” and invites the buyer to get in touch for a quote.

Under Shopper accounts, Let shoppers sign in. They sign in with a one-time code or link sent to their email, see their orders, and have the checkout filled in. A customer with a price list on this store sees its prices once signed in.
