Send documents to Keelvy by email
Your workspace has an email address of its own. Anything sent to it, such as a supplier’s invoice, a certificate or a retail partner’s daily sales report, lands in the Inbox. It’s a one-way door for files: Skipper does not read this address and does not reply to it.
To ask Skipper something by email, use the second address described in Ask Skipper by email. To have Skipper look at a file that arrived here, open it in the Inbox and click Ask Skipper.
Find your address
Section titled “Find your address”Open Settings → Inbox. The Email tab shows Your inbound address; click Copy address. If the screen says inbound email isn’t set up, contact support.
What happens to a message
Section titled “What happens to a message”- Every attachment lands in the Inbox, marked By email. Each can be up to 25 MB.
- A message with no attachment is filed as a text file, so nothing lives only in the mail.
- A sales report from a sender you trust goes straight into the sales feed.
- Some file types aren’t accepted; those show as Not accepted on the message.
Decide who may send
Section titled “Decide who may send”The address is hard to guess but isn’t a password: it ends up in suppliers’ sent folders and in forwarded mail. So the first message from a sender you haven’t seen waits for a decision, and is dropped without a reply if nobody decides in time.
- Open Settings → Inbox → Email. Under Waiting for a decision, each message shows who sent it and the checks the receiving server ran (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). Treat them as a hint: a sender’s address can be forged.
- Choose Always let this sender through, Reject, or Reject and block.
Choosing Always let this sender through also releases everything else that sender has waiting, and their next messages go straight to the Inbox.
To trust someone before their first message, open Trusted senders, enter an address such as orders@northandkiln.example or a whole domain, and click Trust. Block and Unblock change a sender later.
The trusted-senders list is for this address only. It is not how anyone gets to ask Skipper by email.
Change the address
Section titled “Change the address”If the address leaks, click Rotate address. You get a new one. The old one keeps accepting mail from trusted senders for a short time, then stops; mail from anyone else is refused at once. Give the new address to everyone who uses the old one.
Keep in mind
Section titled “Keep in mind”This is a place to drop files, not a mailbox. The record of an accepted message is deleted after a while; the attachments stay in the Inbox under its own rules.
