Barcodes, QR codes and labels

Every product has a SKU that doubles as a Code 128 barcode and a QR code. If you sell through retail, you also store the EAN-13 or UPC-A the shop scans. Labels combine these with the text you choose.

  1. Open the product and go to Identifiers.
  2. Type the EAN-13 (13 digits) or UPC-A (12 digits) in the variant’s row. It saves when you leave the cell.

The last digit is checked. A wrong check digit, or a code another product already uses, is refused.

  1. On the Identifiers tab, open the row’s Download barcode and QR artwork menu.
  2. Choose the symbol, EAN-13, UPC-A, SKU (Code 128) or QR code (SKU), and a format: SVG, PNG, SVG without text, PNG without text or SVG, single path.

The single-path SVG is one vector shape a designer can recolor. The QR code carries the SKU.

  1. Set up a label size once in Settings → Label templates. Click Add label template, choose a preset size in millimeters or inches, the symbol (Barcode, QR code (entity link) or none) and which fields print: name, SKU, vendor code, prices from a price list you choose, dimensions, weight, batch number and others. The visual layout is a live preview you can drag.
  2. Open a product and click Print labels, or select products in Catalog → Products and click Print labels. For variants, tick the ones you want under Which variants.
  3. Pick the Template, the Copies and the Paper (A4 or Letter). Under Output, choose Sheet for sheet printing or Thermal for a roll.
  4. Click Open PDF or Download PDF.

A template that prints a batch number needs one lot. For a lot-tracked product you pick the Lot / batch; Keelvy does not guess it. A job that spans several products leaves lot-tracked ones out, so print those one at a time. There is a limit on labels per job, and the drawer tells you when you are over it.

Open Scan (on a phone, in the bottom bar) and click Start camera. The page opens Keelvy QR links for products, materials and stock locations. If the camera is unavailable, paste the link or code into Scanned link or code and click Open scanned link.

Whether you see a record depends on your role. A role without access to inventory cannot open a stock location.
